Hoxworth Blood Center recently drove their donor bus to VEGA Americas headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio for a half-day blood drive.

In that short time, VEGA employees donated enough blood to save a potential 51 lives.

Ahead of the blood drive, VEGA set a goal of donating 12 units of blood.

More than a dozen volunteers stepped up to the challenge to make whole blood and red blood cell donations.

In the short amount of time available, Hoxworth Blood Center collected 17 units of blood.
