RADAR IS THE BETTER ULTRASONIC

In 2020, VEGA is extending its portfolio of radar sensors with a new compact instrument series. The new series is especially suitable for more price-sensitive applications, such as those found in the water and wastewater industry. The new VEGAPULS sensors can be used in applications with either liquids or bulk solids. What is more, they will be available as a compact version with cable connection compartment or with fixed cable connection. The radar sensors deliver reliable measured values uninfluenced by ambient conditions such as temperature fluctuations or heavy soiling, which quickly bring conventional ultrasonic sensors to their limits. The series is complemented by the optional VEGAMET controllers with large graphic display.

With the new VEGABAR pressure sensors and VEGAPOINT level switches, VEGA becomes a full-range supplier for level and pressure in food and pharmaceutical processes. The compact instrument series are perfectly tailored to standard applications that require high quality and strict hygiene. The standardized hygienic adapter system provides flexibility and keeps expenses and spare parts inventories at a reasonable level. An eye-catching, 360° switching status display ensures safety and process reliability. The colour of the illuminated ring can be freely selected from a pallet of 256 colours and is easy to see even in daylight. The instruments can be operated wirelessly via smartphone or tablet and the integrated digital IO-Link interface is a standard feature.
