PACTware Live Training 2018

During this year's PACTware Live Training from 9 to 12 October 2018 in Vienna, Linz, Burghausen and Innsbruck, the 120 interested participants took advantage of the opportunity not only to learn, but to engage in a lively exchange. From the experts of eight well-known PACTware member companies, they learned in detail how to use the universal adjustment software PACTware to adjust and operate their instruments more efficiently. The organizers of the event built the presentations around the new PACTware design – from the info brochure to the demo wall.
In the 17th year of its existence, PACTware underwent a comprehensive visual update and showed up for this year's roadshow in a fresh, new geometric design. In four live training sessions, each lasting a half day, the representatives of eight member companies once again demonstrated practical ways to use the universal software to make device adjustment and operation more efficient. The main focus was on user-friendliness in specific applications. Speakers also addressed new topics such as industry 4.0, IIoT, cloud solutions and FDI.
PACTware considerably simplifies and speeds up work with a wide variety of field instruments. This became particularly clear as the demo wall showed how the software is used on notebooks and mobile devices: no matter whether in conjunction with HART, Profibus, Profinet or IO-Link. Point-to-point and network connections as well as wireless access were discussed.
Beside the integration of DTMs, the focus was on the use of FDI Device Packages in PACTware. Applications for connecting cloud solutions were also presented.
In addition to the presentations and demo shows, the participating companies didn’t miss the opportunity to showcase their respective application portfolios in small product exhibitions. Bürkert, CodeWrights, KROHNE, Pepperl+Fuchs, Softing, Turck, VEGA and wetcon were the member companies represented this year. Their representatives also found time to answer a number of special application questions on a person-to-person basis during the event.
