Osmosis filter
Differential pressure measurement on the osmosis filter
|
|
Process data
Measuring task:
Differential pressure measurement
Measuring point:
Filter
Measuring range up to:
+20 bar
Medium:
Salt water
Process temperature:
0 … +25 °C
Process pressure:
0 … +20 bar
Special challenges:
Salt water resistance
Application
The seawater is forced through a semi-permeable diaphragm under high pressure. Only pure water molecules can pass through. Salts, bacteria and viruses are retained in the filter. The resulting water is almost like distilled water, which can be used for hydrogen electrolysis. Differential pressure measurement monitors the level of contamination of the filter.
